Really digging into all the amazing marketing ideas or creative shoots you've had running around the back of your head but haven't gotten to because the editing is piling up. Whatever you need some extra time in your schedule for, bringing me onto your team to edit is a surefire way to get it.

My return time on a gallery edit is 5-10 business days. That means you'll get your gallery back within, at most, two weeks of having delivered it to me. Which means your clients will get a premium service, and that can only add to your glowing reviews and word of mouth recommendations, right?!

I'm a photographer too, so I know how it feels to be _very_ emotionally invested in the outcome of a gallery. I also know that when you're deep in the editing cave you can spend hours tweaking just a handful of images while stressing like mad because you want it to be perfect...but a few days later, with some distance from the whole gallery, it all looks amazing. Definitely not! As a photographer myself, I completely get it: these photos are your babies! You put your heart and soul into your work, and my guess is you usually spend hours poring over edits.
When you outsource the work to me, I use what are known as anchor images: for each gallery you'll edit a small number of images across the light changes (e.g. indoor getting ready, outdoor first look, indoor ceremony, golden hour, reception, etc.) and I match the surrounding images to those anchors. This is how you retain creative control of your edits, but I still take the bulk of the work off your shoulders!
As we work together I'll get to know how you prefer to edit: e.g. what you prefer in certain lighting conditions, how you like to crop, and where you like to put your creative focus in an image. You can be certain you'll receive beautiful galleries completed in your unique style.

For some photographers AI can be the small boost to their productivity that they need...but at the end of the day AI isn't human, it's effectively just smart copying and pasting, and many photographers find they still spend a lot of time tweaking what the AI software has done. If you want the eye of a creative, human photographer and that all-important attention to detail, but without doing the work yourself, bringing a boutique editor onto your team is the way forward!

Nope! I'll use Lightrooms' Smart Previews feature to edit your images. When you do the test run I'll send you a video explaining how to create and package up your gallery to send to me. Smart Previews make for a much lighter LR file that takes very little time to create and upload to Dropbox.

You'll need just two things: the latest version of Lightroom CC, and access to a Dropbox account. For your free trial, a Free Dropbox account will work fine, but if you decide to work with me longer term then I recommend a paid subscription in order to have enough space for sharing your galleries with me.

We have a quick get-to-know-you call: I find out about your work, your shooting and editing styles, and you can ask me any questions you have about outsourcing.
I send you a document explaining how to package your test gallery for editing.
You send your gallery, and I do a test edit (up to 100 images for free!)

You give me your feedback, and if we both feel we make a great team, then we sign contracts and off we go!

I'm Laura, a freelance editor and photographer! Editing is a perfect mesh of some of my favourite things: beautiful weddings, romance, and photography!
I currently live in Vietnam with my husband, shouty ginger cat, and adorable baby boy, and outside of work when I'm not knitting seasonally inappropriate sweaters or trying out one of Hanoi's many excellent cafes, then we're off dabbling in travelling as a family of three <3
